About Me

Hi, I am Amy Janssen!  I am proud to be a Rockport native.  I am a graduate of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. I have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education - 4th grade.   I taught Kindergarten for 7 years at Little Bay Primary and am now teaching 1st Grade at Live Oak Learning Center.  I am very blessed to work at such a wonderful campus and am excited about the programs we are implementing.

Mission Statement

My mission is to treat every child fairly and equally.  I will strive to teach every child to the best of my abililty; to take them where they are and build them up from there.

My Interests

My husband and I love to be outside!  We like to walk at the beach or on one of the many nature trails in town.

I love animals...In the past I have had 5 guinea pigs, several full fish tanks, and a few bearded dragons!  I currently have a tortoise, a fish tank, and two of the most loving dogs! :)
