The Information Systems Department's duties are to maintain, plan, manage, assist in purchases and implement technologies into Aransas County Schools.
Planning
Technology is a integral part of the planning process. Curriculum and technology must integrate to form a complete learning environment.

ACISD has approximately 1500 computers and 300 laptops, 900 A/V devices, 410 ShoreTel IP Phones, 305 security cameras, 412 printers, 53 servers, 145 network switches and routers, hundreds of fiber and copper network drops that must be maintained daily. In addition to maintaining these systems, we handle over 850 work requests per month.

Purchasing
Hundreds of requests come across the desk of the Technology Department for approval. The primary goal is to insure that users purchase the appropriate technologies at the right price in accordance with district plans and policies.
