About Me

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Ingleside, Texas. I earned my degree in Elementary Education from Southwest Texas State University.

This is my 33rd year to teach in ACISD. Eighteen of those years were spent teaching first graders. Fourteen years ago, I moved to third grade, and I absolutely love it! I've always loved to read, and I hope to teach my students to love reading.

Mission Statement

My goal is to prepare my students for fourth grade, as well as instill a love of reading and learning that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.

My Interests

I love to travel to new and exciting places. One of my favorite places I've traveled is Pike's Peak in Colorado. It is absolutely beautiful!

Attending sporting events is another thing I do for fun!  My favorite teams are the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs. I've even been to the training camp of the Cowboys!

Of course, reading is one of my favorite activities. There's nothing better than getting lost in a wonderful book! I particularly enjoy historical fiction, biographies, and inspirational books.
