About Me
I have always called this stretch of the coast "home" and am, in fact, a graduate of Aransas County ISD. After obtaining a bachelor's degree at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, I spent 10 wonderful years in the classroom teaching English to 10th and 12th graders. After obtaining a master's degree in English with certification in administration at National University, I transitioned into curriculum and instruction supporting teachers and administrators. I have loved being part of a system that changes and grows with students and teachers. I currently oversee our district's dyslexia and ESL programs, and I work with a great team of professionals to support curriculum and instruction in ACISD.
Mission Statement
As long as I am part of public education, it is my goal to preserve the professionality of the educator and promote a positive learning environment where all students learn and grow.
My Interests
While my husband and I love international travel to places we have never seen, I am just as content finding a quiet stretch of beach with a book in my hand. I'm also a fan of good food, hopefully prepared in my kitchen for and with the people I love most. While I am not in the classroom with students, I actively seek opportunities to mentor teenagers in our community.
